Currently, I am a systems analyst at the UofG's Computing & Communications Services (CCS) - please see my EDUCAUSE profile for more details on IT in Higher Education.

Until 2003, I was an analyst/consultant at the Guelph Scanning Proton Microprobe (GSPM) laboratory, which provides micro-analytical services to a large variety of clients from academia, research, and industry. My responsibilities included, in particular:

• calibration, process monitoring, Proton Induced X-ray Emission (PIXE) spectra evaluation, Quality Assurance/ Quality Control (QA/QC), air-quality data modeling, PR, marketing.
• management of the GAViM - Guelph Aerosol and Visibility Monitoring Program
• and software development whether it was a desktop data acquisition package, or a web database solution.

Hobbies?

Ballroom dancing - together with April founded the UofG Ballroom Dance Club in 1992 and ran it for about 10 years, traveling, canoeing, back-country hiking, and other magnificent stuff.
